Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies we use on this website, what each one does, and how to change your choice at any time.

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how GGWP ("GGWP", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, the personal data we collect about visitors, and the rights and choices available to you. GGWP is the data controller for personal data collected from visitors to this website, and this notice is the complete privacy notice for that data.

Our separate Privacy Policy covers a different subject: the player data we process on behalf of game developers through our products and APIs, where we act as a data processor. It does not apply to website visitors.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences and help us understand how the site is used. In this notice, "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as pixels and local storage.

The cookies we use

Non-essential cookies (the analytics and visitor identification cookies below) are set only if you accept them on our cookie banner. They are not set if you reject them, and they are deleted from this site if you later withdraw consent.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required to operate the site and to record your consent choice. They do not require consent and are not used for analytics or advertising.

Analytics cookies

We use these cookies to measure how the site is used and to improve it. They are set by Google Analytics (measurement ID G-DP848VSGSN) and by HubSpot (Hub ID 39679803), and both load only after you accept analytics cookies.

Visitor identification cookies

We use these technologies to identify the organisation a visitor belongs to and, in some cases, the individual visitor, so that our sales and marketing teams can follow up. Our provider, Unify (Unify AI Business Corporation), identifies the organisation by matching the network (IP) address of your visit against its business data sources. It identifies you individually only from an email address entered on this site: if you type your email address into a form here, it may be collected at the moment you enter it, even if you never submit the form, and linked to your current and past visits.

Unify stores each of its identifiers on this site twice: once under a readable name (such as unify_visitor_id) and once under an encoded duplicate of the same value, whose name is a Base64 encoding of our site key and the readable name. The exact values used on this site, both forms, are listed below. Unify does not load software from any other provider on this site and does not set cookies on other companies' domains from this site.

HubSpot cookies

HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.) is our CRM and marketing platform. We use it in two ways. First, on the server: when you submit the demo, contact or newsletter forms, we send what you entered to HubSpot from our own servers, which does not involve cookies. Second, the HubSpot tracking code (Hub ID 39679803) runs in your browser to record the pages you view here and, if you submit one of our forms, to link those page views to your contact record. It loads only after you accept analytics cookies, and if you later withdraw consent we instruct HubSpot to stop tracking and delete the cookies it set on this site.

Personal data we collect

Information you provide to us

If you contact us, request a demo or subscribe to updates through this website, we collect the information you submit, typically your name, work email address, company and message. We store it in HubSpot, our CRM, and use it to respond to you, to arrange the demo, and to send the updates you requested. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

In addition, if you have accepted visitor identification, an email address you type into a form on this site may be collected by our visitor identification provider as you enter it, even if you do not submit the form.

Information we receive from third-party sources

If you accept visitor identification, we may also receive information about you that you did not give us. Our provider may tell us:

  • the organisation associated with your visit and its general details, such as industry, size and location, derived from the network (IP) address of your visit;
  • where our provider holds or obtains professional details for an email address collected on this site: your name, job title and company;
  • an approximate location derived from your IP address;
  • the pages you viewed on this site and when.

Our provider compiles this information from its own commercial data sources, not from us. We do not receive, and do not request, passwords, financial details or special-category data. If you do not want us to receive this information, reject non-essential cookies, or contact the provider directly as described below.

Purposes and legal bases

We use this information to operate and improve the site, to understand which organisations are interested in GGWP, and to support follow-up by our sales and marketing teams.

For visitors in the UK, EU and EEA, our legal bases are:

  • Consent (UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) for all non-essential cookies and for visitor identification. You give consent through our banner and may withdraw it at any time. We do not rely on legitimate interests for visitor identification.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating and securing the site, for strictly necessary cookies.
  • Performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry, for information you send us, and your consent for marketing emails.

Who we share personal data with

We share website-visitor personal data with the service providers named above: Google (analytics), HubSpot (marketing and CRM), Unify (visitor identification), and Cloudflare (security). We may also share it with professional advisers, or where required by law.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising or to build advertising audiences.

International transfers

These providers are based in the United States. If you are in the UK, EU or EEA, your personal data will be transferred there. Transfers rely on the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard.

How long we keep personal data

Cookies expire on the schedules in the tables above, and you can delete them at any time through your browser. For the information we derive from them:

  • Analytics data is held in Google Analytics under its data-retention setting and deleted automatically when that period expires.
  • Visitor identification records that led to no contact are deleted or anonymised within 24 months of your last visit.
  • Contact records, where you got in touch, requested a demo or we spoke, are kept in our CRM for as long as we have a business relationship or an active prospect of one, and afterwards for as long as our legal and accounting obligations require.

If you withdraw consent, unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your information, we act on that request regardless of the periods above.

Managing cookies and consent

When you first visit, our banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, or use Manage to choose analytics and visitor identification separately. Strictly necessary cookies are always active. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer, which reopens the banner. If you withdraw consent, we delete the non-essential cookies and local-storage entries set on this site and stop identifying you here. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which may affect how some parts of the site work.

Opting out of visitor identification

Rejecting non-essential cookies, or turning off visitor identification under Manage, stops identification on this site. You can also exercise your rights, including deletion, directly with our provider: email privacy@unifygtm.com or use Unify's privacy request form.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an instruction not to identify you: visitor identification remains off for your entire visit, even if cookies were previously accepted on this site. Analytics cookies remain governed by your choice on the banner.

Your privacy rights

If you are in the UK, EU or EEA

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out). To exercise these rights, email privacy@ggwp.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the data protection authority of your country. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

If you are in the United States

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and its sources, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. To exercise these rights, email privacy@ggwp.com.

Profiling

Visitor identification involves profiling: information about your organisation, your role and the pages you viewed is combined to help us decide who to contact and what to say. It is used only to prioritise outreach by our staff. We do not make any solely automated decision that produces legal effects or otherwise significantly affects you.

Children

This is a business-to-business website intended for game developers and studios. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information via this website, email privacy@ggwp.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we add, remove or change a tracking technology, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Where a change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
